What you actually do

Four things most internships don't let students near.

These are not observation roles. You work on live projects alongside EDITH's Architect, CA, and site engineers. You flag what you see. You file what you're responsible for. You learn by doing it.

Role 01 / Cost estimation

Cost estimation & billing

Quantity takeoffs from drawings, preparation of BOQs, vendor rate comparison, material procurement tracking, and invoice verification against work completed. This is the financial backbone of a project — not a senior-only job at EDITH.

Role 02 / Civil engineering

Site supervision

Daily site diary maintenance, progress tracking against project schedule, material inspection and quality control checks, labour coordination. You report to the site engineer and are expected to flag what you see — not just follow. This is how you learn to own a site.

  • Flag what you see

Role 03 / Compliance

RERA & compliance exposure

Assist with RERA document compilation, filing preparation, and tracking. Exposure to GST (works contract), stamp duty calculations, and regulatory timeline management. Learning how compliance works on a live project — from inside a CA/CS team.

Role 04 / Architecture

Design & drawing exposure

Support to the Architect on drawing review, design coordination, and site-to-drawing comparison. Understanding how design decisions translate to cost, buildability, and regulatory compliance. For architecture students particularly.
